#Stepupforliverhealth Social Media Challenge

Doing exercise is a great way to keep your liver healthy and prevent liver disease! 

WHO Guidelines recommend we should limit the amount of time spent being sedentary.
Replacing sedentary time with physical activity of any intensity (including light intensity) provides health benefits.

Join the social media challenge, step up for liver health by taking a stroll and snapping a pic!

Here’s how to participate:

  1.  Lace up your shoes and head out for a walk. 
  2. Capture a photo of yourself enjoying your walk OR take a picture of the beautiful landscape you encounter! 
  3. If possible, add the World Liver Day frame to your picture to show your support and tag your location!
  4. Share your photo on social media using the hashtags #WorldLiverDay and #StepUpForLiverHealth.
  5. Challenge your friends and family to take a walk and join the cause!

Explore Challenges and solutions for Liver Disease in Africa

The 90-minute program takes place on World Liver Day – 19 April 2024 at 10:00 CAT – and showcases presentations from leading experts from the five African regions. The scientific programme focuses on regionally prevalent and emerging liver diseases and special emphasis will be placed on ensuring the voices of those with lived experiences will be heard.

EASL Policy Dialogue: World Liver Day - Celebrating Liver Health in Europe

World Liver Day is a global event designed to celebrate liver health and empower the voices of the liver community in advocating for better prevention, detection, and care. Societies from around the world engaged in liver care come together each year to collectively raise the profile of liver health at the community, national, and international level. This year, EASL paves the way forward in Europe on World Liver Day with new educational resources, patient testimonials, and a user-friendly website, making it easier than ever to learn about and take care of the liver.
